Road Trip: Terengganu

p.s: beware of the long-ass word vomit post ahead. you've been warned.

Guess what. I went on a little road trip yesterday. yehet~! It was fun. I’ve always wanted to do so, with a close friend of mine- we already made plans you know but never once did we carried those plans. We planned on hiking or doing food-hunting or visiting the museums- back when everything was fine I think. She’s not here now. She left. She’s somewhere doing whatever. Promises and promises; make it but never kept it. One of the many things why I absolutely hate making plans and promises with anyone- it’s another form of trust for me- and when I decided that I should just trust someone, it broke into tiny pieces.
Enough of that, let’s get back to the road trip.
Me and another friend- a classmate and housemate- decided to go to the Big Bad Wolf book sale where books were at the best price- 70% to 80% discount! Isn’t it awesome?- The book sale was at Unisza, Terengganu. It didn’t take that long to go there, about 1 hour 40 minutes? And the view all the way there was great! I never knew both Kelantan and Terengganu had such a beautiful sight! We went along the coast side and had seen various stops, tourism places and islands; Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Duyong and many more and I was kind of shocked because who knows it was that near with my place in Bachok? There’s this place where you can see the hornbills- I forgot its name- and there's this horse range, y’know the one where horse races were held by the Sultan? yeah, I didn't remember that one either. But try google it if you're interested.
And as soon as we're done shopping for books- I bought a total of 7 books- we went for sight-seeing in Terengganu and it was amazing! We made a stop for lunch by the airport and went by Teluk Ketapang where there’s this resort for Scouts and it was awesome. There seem to be a lot of activities there like paintball and wall climbing- y’know all the scout goodness- and then, we headed straight to Kuala Terengganu. Kuala Terengganu is the heart of Terengganu (in case you're wondering) so it's no wonder that it is slightly advanced than any other area in Terengganu. We went to Chinatown and the place was famous for its street arts. It was beautiful and quite amazing. I do wish we get to spend a lot of time there. The street food was quite delicious (and unique) and they sell lots of fruits there. We went for a stroll around the city before stopping at this huge newly constructed mall and had sushi for dinner. Yeah, I know, out of all kinds of food there, we chose to eat sushi wth.
And then we off to the state’s museum but ofc it was closed- silly me, I really wanted to go, but it’s already night and what museum opens at night?- so we went straight to ‘Islamic Civilization Park’ or ‘Taman Tamadun Islam’ and Masjid Kristal. It was a sight to behold, with all the lights and night view. It changed quite a lot from the last time I went there. Back then, there’s just the mosque in the middle of a huge lake but now there’s this cafĂ© for the mosque and all the lights and fountains- this is like an upgrade version of the mosque. We headed Bachok not long after that since it’s already late. If we’re out past our curfew, we’re dead meat.
But on our back home, there’s this Alza that really gets me on my nerves. Seriously the one who’s driving got some attitude problem and probably don’t even know what mannerism is. It's night and it's dark, idk what his problem is but he kept on flicking the fcking headlight and it was fcking disturbing! At first, I thought there’s something wrong with the car and I was kind of worried since I’m the one driving and I have another life with me here so I slowed down a little and moved to side only to have that Alza rudely drove past me. Wtaf?! I was seriously worried and he flicked the high beam headlights just to drive past me?! Okay fine, whatever, I let it go because I’m not like him, whatever the driver’s gender might be. And then there’s this traffic light, so I drive passed him and sped up. I thought that I already lost him. Idek where he is going, not that I care either but I was relieved as hell that he’s nowhere near me. I was at peace around 30 to 40 minutes when suddenly the car behind me flicked its headlight, high beaming for countless times.
Guess who.
It’s that Alza again, like wth?! It’s kinda freaked me out y’know because the thing is I know how I drive and I drive fast- 120km/h the least. He couldn’t have kept up unless he’s chasing me. Or maybe he could, idk but he’s freaking me out! And with that flickering light again! I got seriously worried, but I’m not backing down (sorry bitch, but you're messing around with the wrong person) so I ignored him and decided that the next gas station I saw, I’ll stop and check the car- in case there really is something wrong. And because I ignored him, he continuously flicked the light but he refused to drive passed me- even when the other lane is empty!
He freaking did that on purpose! And when he did, he nearly got ran over by a car from the other lane. Stupid.
Then I checked my car only to find that there’s nothing wrong with it! That soab. Thank god he’s nowhere to be found, or I’ll be the one who ran him over.
As soon as we reached Bachok- finally- we stopped by the KFC restaurant and had our late night dinner and concluded that it was a fun trip. it's a bit sad that i didn't get to explore Terengganu completely due to the limited time i have and Terengganu is such a nice place. i'll just visit it again later. i'll be staying in Bachok for 4 years anyway. and maybe i'll go for a road trip to melaka. melaka is a great place to visit and discover. there are lots of picturesque sceneries that'll just take your breath away lol. and don't forget to stop by the beach; it's amazing. for you guys who love to do short road trips or maybe backpackers, Terengganu and Melaka are a must. there are hotels or inn specially for backpackers y'know?
Well, as for us, we had a great time- at least I do. Idk about my friend but by the looks of it, she seems to be having a great time as well. Even with the Alza thing, she doesn’t seem to mind a lot. If it’s anyone else, they could’ve gone berserk or something. And maybe will never ever ride the same car as me ever again lmao seriously my driving skills are nowhere decent. pretty much on survival level.

She is such a great companion. Thanks Hanani.

p.s.s: i'll leave you guys with some pictures. sorry if it's a bad quality. i used ipad camera =_="

and there are videos we recorded for fun, i uploaded the videos and there's this one we recorded while we're driving around in the car and singing along to Akim's 'Potret' and we placed it on the dashboard, y'know something like running man lol but the file was too big so i can't upload it. it's not that good ofc idek half of whatever it is i'm recording lmao and omg i looked fcking hideous. also, lots of pictures has been taken but i guess this is all that i'll show you.

anyway, have a great day everyone!

My Immortal

My Immortal by Evanescence

i'm so tired of being here
suppressed by all my childish fears
and if you have to leave
i wish that you would just leave
'cause your presence still lingers here
and it won't leave me alone

these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

[chorus]
when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you screamed i'd fight away all of your fears
and i held your hands through all of this years
but you still have all of me

you used to captivate me by your resonating light
now i'm bound by the life you left behind
your face- it haunts my once pleasant dreams
your voice- it chased away all the sanity in me

these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

[chorus]

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
but though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

[chorus]

... me, me me.
